In response, the internet has gifted us something very special.
Inspired by the acoustic covers of Formation, Nathan Zed (@NathanZed) decided to perform a “trap cover” of Hey Jude.
In his words, it was “in retaliation to the white covers turning party songs into elevator music”.
And the hashtag #TrapCover was born.
Soon, there were dozens trap covers of the whitest songs ever.
